What changed in DeckShot, version by version.
DeckShot ships from deckshot.app and the Microsoft Store. The current version comes first, then every version before it.
The current build, on Windows. Stream Deck, Wave Link, Camera Hub, Control Center and Video Capture are all backed up and restorable; a macOS build comes next.
Wave Link 3.4 keeps only the paths of the sounds its pads play. Turn on Soundboard sounds and each backup copies the audio too. On restore, a sound that can't go back to its old folder goes to a folder you choose, and only those pads are pointed there.
A backup from before Wave Link 3.4 has no record of the soundboard, OBS connection or output priority. Restoring one now says so and keeps your current ones, unless you untick the box.
The restore dialog says how many sound pads point to files not on this computer.
Device firmware comes from Wave Link 3.x's own logs, and a device with none recorded reads NOT REPORTED.
A restore no longer leaves a rollback copy next to the app's settings, and old leftovers are cleared.
Soundboard sounds for Wave Link 3.4, and older Wave Link backups that keep your current soundboard, OBS connection and output priority.
The trial is gone: backups for every app stay free, and restore is free forever for one app you choose. A licence restores the rest.
On the Microsoft Store. A rebuilt How-it-works page with a per-app reference, window controls in the app's own style, the installed version read straight from Windows, and a settings-save error you can see.
The window stopped locking when a licence lapsed, and one licence covers up to 3 machines.
Self-update fixes, verified end to end.
Self-update installs cleanly, the window drags from Settings and Trash and always quits from the tray, and an update card sits in the sidebar.
Encrypted file names on an encrypted store, and a self-updater that checks every build against a pinned key before installing.
The first published build: backup and restore for Stream Deck, Wave Link, Camera Hub, Control Center and Video Capture, running from the tray, with opt-in encryption of the backup store.
Stop rebuilding what you already built.
Set it up on a good day. After the first run it is a filing cabinet nobody thinks about, until the day it is the only thing that matters.
